Exploring the Lethbridge River bottom on a warm fall day is truly enchanting. On this particular day, I ventured into the river bottom under clear skies and embarked on a stroll. Parking at the Highway 3 pull-out beneath the bridge, I meandered towards the Helen Schuler Nature Center.

As I continued walking, the sky darkened as clouds swiftly moved from the West to the East. By the time I returned to my car, distant thunder rumbled in the background. Seizing the moment, I grabbed my camera to capture this image. After taking this image I found myself rushing back to the car minutes later as the heavens released a torrential downpour.
