Kayaking holds a special place in my heart. The combination of kayaking and Waterton seamlessly brings together two of my greatest passions. On this day, I found myself gliding across the serene waters of the middle lake in Waterton Lakes National Park when my phone rang with a customer on the line. Seated in my kayak, I talked to my customer while the lake around me transformed into a tranquil expanse resembling polished glass. Not a whisper of wind stirred.

As I finished my call, I turned to look to the South and was greeted by a breathtaking panorama featuring the iconic Prince of Wales Hotel, the prominent Bear’s Hump, and their reflections mirrored on the glass-like surface of the middle lake. This extraordinary moment captured in a photograph serves as a remarkable piece of wall art, immortalizing the beauty of that day on the water.
